Troubleshooting

The camera does not show on my phone?

Cameras working on the screen at the site while not appearing in your phone app is common — and the cause is usually outside the camera itself: the internet, the app, or a changed password. The cameras are most likely fine. This order gets you to the answer.

Operations & maintenance

First: is the site connected to the internet?

Remote viewing needs internet at the camera site, not only on your phone. If the location’s internet dropped or the router restarted, no stream reaches your phone even though local recording continues. Check that the site router is running and the recorder is connected to it.

Second: has the password changed?

If you recently changed the recorder or camera password, the app is still trying to sign in with the old one and failing. Update the credentials in the app. This is a recurring cause after any maintenance or reset.

Third: the app itself

  • Is the app on its latest version? An old version can stop working.
  • Try closing it completely and reopening, or signing out and back in.
  • Make sure your phone has a working connection (try mobile data and Wi-Fi).
  • Re-add the device in the app by QR code or identifier (UID) if needed.

Fourth: the recorder and its setup

The recorder may have lost its remote-viewing configuration (P2P), or the service has stopped, or its connection to the manufacturer’s servers has dropped. Go into the network settings on the recorder and confirm the status reads “online”. Restarting the recorder resolves many of these cases.

When is the fault really in the camera?

If the camera does not appear even on the local screen at the site, then and only then are we talking about a fault in the camera, its cable or its power — and that is a different case with its own diagnosis.

FAQ

What clients ask us.

The cameras work at the site but not on my phone — is one broken?
Almost certainly not. If they appear on the local screen, the cameras are fine and the problem lies in the site's internet, the app, or the remote-viewing configuration.
I changed the recorder password and the app stopped working.
The app is still signing in with the old password. Update the credentials in the app — this is one of the most common causes after maintenance or a reset.
Do I need to reinstall the app?
Rarely. Try closing it fully, signing out and back in, and confirming it is on the latest version. Re-adding the device by QR code or UID solves most of the remainder.
